I was recently admitted to the above hospital with chest pain and breathlessness. I was taken by ambulance to A and E where I was dealt with very quickly. I cannot speak highly enough of both nursing and medical staff. They were extremely considerate of the anxiety and pain I was experiencing. After several tests I was moved to Ward 6 the Medical Assessment Unit, a very busy ward. In spite of the biz and noise, I was immediately admitted by very caring nursing staff and offered something to eat as I had missed out on lunch. Throughout my short stay the food was excellent, certainly the best I have ever had in any hospital. Treatment was carried out without delay or fuss. As said before, both medical and nursing staff were excellent at all times throughout my short stay. I must mention the tea trolley staff who also helped to provide much needed cuppas. This was my first ever experience of BGH and was definitely positive.
"Positive experience"
