I was recently given an appointment to attend the Radiology department for further investigations into a serious condition. From the time I stepped into the department my welfare was looked after every way possible. I was taken through to the Radiology Day Care Unit where the high level of care continued.
The Doctor performing the biopsy took the time to explain the reason why this had to be done, how it was to be done, my internal structure was explained and from where the sample was to be taken, all my questions answered fully, I was put at ease at all stages.
The procedure went well, no discomfort at any time (during or after) my first-class care continued afterwards with the mandatory rest and observations which had been fully explained earlier, refreshments afterwards were provided and appreciated.
All the team on duty that day had happy smiley faces which made my four hour visit fly by, it was a pleasure to see the whole team working as one, a huge credit to Royal Lancaster Infirmary. I unreservedly recommend the team who looked after my wife and I on my recent visit.
