(as the patient),

After I fell, I was given the opportunity to attend the Day Centre at 

East Ayrshire Community Hospital,  

Each Tuesday Professional Physiotherapists and Exercises have helped me to regain my confidence in walking again.  I have reduced mobility due to Polio.

The Occupational Therapist has been very educational on informing me of the dangers and risks of falls, 

The Staff are very encouraging and helpful, and meeting with other people stimulates 

The Patient Transport is beneficial as it allows me to be picked up at home with no need to wait on buses or use taxi,

I can entirely recommend this Day Care to anyone in need of help to get back on their feet again, it is an invaluable resource

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear molly83,

It is great to hear how beneficial this has been. Thank you for taking time to give this such a high recommendation. I can really appreciate the benefit of meeting other people, learning how to prevent falling and giving you more confidence in walking. It is possible that we take our mobility for granted until it gives us a problem of some kind.

I will pass your post to the teams you mentioned; I know it will make their day to hear how helpful it has been for you to attend the Day Care Centre.
