"Care of our mam"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Oncology unit

(as a relative),

Our mam was diagnosed with breast cancer, it was at a very late stage, the plan was management of symptoms as there was no cure.

Mam attended the breast cancer clinic in FVRH, there she met Dr. Fraser and her team of nurses, Dr. Fraser is a lovely woman, friendly and down to earth, she put mam at ease immediately. Mam used to get quite anxious when appointments were coming up, she knew there wasn't a cure and she worried about what she was going to hear. Mam really liked seeing Dr Fraser, she held her in high regard, speaking of her often, she admired her practical approach. Likewise with the nursing staff, Rhona and her colleagues (I'm so sorry I can't recall all the names) mam found them all to be friendly and caring. We'd also like to express our appreciation of all of the reception staff in the clinic, always cheerful and friendly.

This story is late in being told, that's my fault, we all still miss mam every day but we'll always be grateful for the care, kindness and help mam and all of her daughters received from the team.
