"Fed up with poor service and being in pain"

About: St Marks Hospital (Harrow)

Where to start.. I’m writing on behalf of my bf who has been a patient of st. Marks for several years and had numerous operations including colostomy and reversal, and gall bladder removal.

When he does eventually get an appt after it being cancelled several times he waits on average 2 hours after his appt time.

He use to have iron infusions but now has it done at a local hospial as he would turn up at st. Marks and the prescription would not be done wait up there all day to be rescheduled. He waited over a year for his gall bladder op after being referred from our local hospital, although a scan showed tears prior to this he presented with gall bladder stones but was never picked up.

He had a flare up at xmas and been in pain all this time taking tramadol every day, just had an mri and waiting for a colonoscopy and capsule camera done next week. They said to increase his humira injections to weekly yet a prescription has not been organised and he has now ran out. He has been chasing this for weeks but service is so disorganised and causing him stress which is not ideal with Crohns. We are losing all faith with st. Marks and will be looking to change to a local hospital as surely cannot be worse than lack if service he has been receiving here!!
