"Removal of haemangioma"

About: Granton Medical Centre

This morning my adult son had a small procedure to remove a haemangioma the size of a big pea from the side of his face. This was carried out under local anaesthetic by our GP with a nurse assisting. It took approximately 15 minutes. This was performed efficiently and we were well informed about what was going to happen at every stage.

We were very pleased this procedure could be performed in the surgery, because it was benign, the hospital did not have the funding to remove it and we thought he may have to have it done privately.

The appointment was made only a few weeks ago, we feel this is quite acceptable for something non urgent.

We are very happy with service offered by the Granton Surgery.
