I have just visited the urgent care centre at Chorley and I am more than disappointed. While the doctor I saw was lovely the nurse who did the triage couldn’t have been more rude if they’d tried.
I went to book in at reception where the nurse was also sat looking bored then and picked up their phone whilst I was giving my details. I then sat in the waiting room where after 20 minutes the nurse then decided to move from the reception desk and ask me to come through. There was no friendly welcome just a ‘what’s wrong’ and why haven’t you been to your own gp as they were sat there with no shoes on just walking about in their socks! Not very professional. The triage consisted of why haven’t you been to your own go and that was about it. No obs taken etc etc If the nurse was trying to make me feel uncomfortable and that I shouldn’t have bothered coming then they succeeded. The doctor I saw couldn’t have been any nicer. There are some lovely caring medical staff and then there are ones like the nurse that I saw. Completely rude, uncaring and disinterested.
"Rude and disinterested staff"
