"Bowel cancer screening"

About: East Surrey Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

i recently underwent bowel cancer screening at east surrey hospital,at first i was very nervous to begin with but all the staff were friendly and informative and reassuring !

during the procedure although a bit apprehensive the staff talk you through the procedure at every stage and at no point was i embarrassed or made to feel embarrassed, everything was done very discreetly where possible.

I felt no pain at any point, had a very small amount of discomfort which doctor explained i may have before he did what he did

I definitely would not have any apprehension or doubt about going for my second screening at 60yrs

Do not let your embarrassment or doubts stop you having this procedure,It is too important to miss, and staff were brilliant
