"Very disappointed"

About: Princess Royal Hospital (Haywards Heath)

After waiting 10 weeks for my appointment I was excited to see the specialists at Princess Royal, or anyone for that matter. The initial consultation was, to put it bluntly beyond a joke. The first specialist asked me vague questions, gave me a painful examination and without going into detail offered outrageous potential options that were not physically possible considering my physical condition, meaning he obviously had no understanding of my pain, needs or condition in general. So after being told to come back for a biopsy 8 weeks later, I did. The specialist then asked nothing about my previous symptoms, treatments or history over the past 2 years, she went purely of the previous specialists notes (which were ridiculous anyway). Considering I was suffering from pain already a biopsy was traumatic to say the least but I do give massive thanks to the nurses who were fantastic. I was told to wait 6-8 weeks. 9 weeks later after calling I received a confirmation of the appointment/biopsy that I'd already had, nothing about my results which is what I rang about. When I saw my local GP for something unrelated they mentioned they had my results but couldn't tell me, I had to wait for Princess Royal. I rang the department again after yet another week and they stated that they were 2-3 months behind on paperwork but would email the required letter the next day. So to receive any updates I had to ring everytime in order to get the information I was promised. After all that they discharged me back to my GP after finding nothing from the one test and wished me luck... Nothing about other potential treatments, or possible diagnosis or where to go from here. As a student, this painstaking ordeal has pushed me to go private even though financially for me it is extremely difficult. None of the specialists seemed to have a clue or a care in the world about me or my condition and would strongly recommend that you don't waste your time with this clinic.
