"Parkinson’s and a fever/high temperature"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Community Services / STARS (Short Term Assessment Reablement Service)

(as the patient),

I collapsed and after paramedics contacted my GP, who  immediately made it a home visit and  prescribed two antibiotics, a rapid response team  assessed needs. From then on a short term assessment and rehabilitation service (STARS)  arranged a daily visit from a carer to help me to wash and dress. The STARS  team also provided various useful pieces of equipment, and the team leader and other managers kept in contact  to advise and check on the support that I was receiving.
