"Renewing prescription online"

About: Lower Clapton Group Practice

(as the patient),

I get a repeated prescription from the Lower Clapton health centre, for a few medicines that the GPS have advised or even insisted that I should take. This prescription has been renewed every 3 months for years with a yearly checkup. A few months ago, I started having only a month supply (28 days to be exact) at each time without any explanation.

The health centre has my email and my mobile and it is easy to communicate. I requested the last prescription 7 days ago but it was not processed and I ran out of the statin tablets. I messaged to ‘askmyGP’ to ask what is happening. This is not replied to by GPs. Someone told me that my request had never been received. I went to the chemist to ask for help since it was 3 days without tablets, and he had just received the prescription (the one which had not been received) but again only for 28 days. I messaged ‘askmygp’ and ask why and was told ‘because it is a monthly prescription’ which does not tell me what has changed. The pharmacist was also bewildered. Why can my question not be answered?
