"Now pain free"

About: Grantham & District Hospital / Pain Management

(as a service user),

I am delighted to say I attended at Grantham Hospital's Day Ward for my  six monthly 4 facet joint pain injections. I received the greatest care from the day ward staff, theatre staff and the consultant himself. Am now pain free and enjoying walking activities. Only down point is that no one still seems to know what is happening in April which is very worrying.

Hi Grannyapple

That's great news to read as being pain free is so important when you have spinal pain - I speak from experience too. It makes such a difference to your lifestyle and the activities you can do. I have shared with the staff on day ward and theatre teams and it will mean so much to them.

As for going forward from April, our local CCGs who commission the services offered to patients in Lincolnshire will be sharing information to our patients about the new pain management service provider in the forthcoming weeks

regards

Sharon

Thank you Sharon. It is very worrying not to know where, when and who will be injecting my spine in the future. Hope it’s sorted soon.

Hi Grannyapple

Thank you for taking the time to share your praise of the pain service on day ward. It is lovely to hear that the procedure has been successful and in some small part we have helped you.

Kindest regards

Sister Rachel Ryder, Day Ward, Grantham Hospital
