"Mesh implant"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

(as the patient),

Got told it was a gold standard operation and it would fix my incontinence,

Discharged without pain relief and told to get paracetamol from the shop, 6 week check up was poor, as only a scan of bladder levels done and nothing after that. Was never informed about any of the major issues, was never told it could erode or cause damage years down the line, had to do my own research and take this to my doctors with I think the mesh is causing me issues and this is why, no after care by anyone really

Please consider contacting the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) at Royal Preston Hospital on 01772 522972, who would be able to liaise with the Gynae team on your behalf.

PALS are open Monday - Friday from 9-4pm excluding bank holidays, and there is an answer machine facility outside those hours.
