I would like to thank this wonderful hospital for the care of my father.
He was admitted New Year’s Day with a broken hip at the age of 80.
Sadly he was already of very poor heath as is often the case with Patients of this age.
I feel hospitals have an almost impossible task balancing the needs of these patients clinically.
A medication to treat one symptom brings on another problem or interacts with another medicine etc etc
When called in to the consultants room, to discuss that resuscitation was not an option for my father, I can only say that the consultant was exemplary in his delivery, being both informative and compassionate.
The staff were all wonderful and made a very difficult end as best as could be possible.
