Halton Urgent Care , Surgical , particularly (Breast) and Cantreat divisions , outstanding care. I will forever be in debt to the team as cannot fault any aspects whatsoever. They go above and beyond there duties. This includes the the visting Consultants from Clatterbridge.
I have been happy with the care I have received and thankful for the teams involved in my care. The Trust has a fantastic reputation in certain areas across the various specialties. HOWEVER reluctantly visting A&E, showing an alert card plus Clatterbridge Triage liased with the Trust , I was made to stand up in A&E waiting area with a temperature having been checked by a nurse clinician of 39 despite taking medication to reduce. My body went into shock mode and was shivering away accompanied with chest pain ;my BP also checked by a Nurse Clinician and revealed it was elevated and pulse rate was low.
I was told it would be a five hours wait. I was advised by a healthcare profession , would be quicker to walk out the A&E entrance and dial an ambulance. I decided to go to another neighbouring Trust instead. Appreciate all NHS Trusts suffering as the crisis is deemed a national issue but this is clearly a breach in Sepsis pathways and not following guidance. Chester outstanding , they put you in a side room and administer drugs within 20 minutes of on arrival.
Breast and Oncology
Services including Cantreat
I rate as ******. Impeccable.
I reluctantly revisited
A&E having had a similar experience as discharged and overheard a Consultant saying to the Junior Doctor at the time , having not actually reviewed me "not for us to deal with but the Oncologist"
I was sent out of A&E with a sick bowl and contiuned to be sick in the car on the way home but ended up in with a crash team working on me in A&E at another neighbouring Trust as a result. I was initially treated for Sepsis but scan revealed pneumonia. Last night was yet another repeat performance.
Being made to stand up against a wall and advised it would five hour wait. It's common society as if I have ever visited A&E with a relative then would give my seat up for the unwell patients. It is common sense really but perhaps some appropriate signage; as does not help when you get a tribe of people accompanying a relative in A&E but they are consuming the chairs for the unwell patients. Needs to be managed better. I ended up slumping against the wall , moved to a table to sit on then eventually lost my Trust and inevitably walked out as told the Doctors could not access my record as "in use"
Poor service and clearly unsafe practice.
"Cantreat , Oncology , Surgery (Breast ) ******..."
