"Labour and birthing"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Maternity care (Wards 47, 48 & 50)

(as the patient),

Excellent experience, care second to none, experienced midwives making you feel comfortable and at ease during labour and making you feel safe and listened too.

My labour was quick and intense and could have been very scary if it wasn’t for the team.

Aftercare for myself and my daughter was excellent also. (Managed to get home the next day) but others on my ward who had been there for a few days felt the same, midwives, nurses and auxiliary staff all very kind and caring at a time when people feel vulnerable and exhausted. Couldn’t praise them highly enough.

Only downside of the experience was the lunch- macaroni cheese left a lot to be desired! But there is an m&s on site and my husband got me some supplies!

Thanks to the whole maternity team at QEUH .
