"Ward 28 and 22"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I was admitted initially to ward 28 where I was for a number of days while I had tests completed to try and work out what was going on. The staff on the ward were amazing, very kind and friendly and offered a lot of reassurance and support. They clearly work very hard and long hours but always had time to talk to me or help.

I was then moved to ward 22 and under a new doctor again the staff were amazing and the doctor was fantastic, he listens when you talk and is clearly wry knowledgable as a doctor but gives you, the patient, recognition for how you are feeling. He went above and beyond his duty of care (as did all of the staff mentioned in this post) and has made what was a worrying time in hospital as painless and reassuring as it could possibly have been. I am so grateful to everyone who has been a part of my care on the wards and for the doctor for taking over as my doctor.

I have given 4/5 due to the behaviours of one doctor which will be put through as a complaint however I do not wish for his actions to cloud the otherwise amazing care I have received here.
