I really want to commend the excellent consultants at the Harris Birthright centre who dealt with my current pregnancy. I was given very bad news about my baby having a serious congenital heart defect. Even though I had a bad outcome from the anomaly scan, I felt like I was always kept informed, the consultants were very good at communicating the information about the condition and our options going forward. I felt they were professional but also empathetic at the same time. I felt well taken care of and guided through the process as smoothly as possible.   The only person I dealt with who was irritable was one of the reception staff who kept asking us unhelpful questions without helping us when we came for a rescan, but thankfully one of her colleagues intervened and helped us out.

Many thanks for taking the time to comment on your care at the Harris Birthright Centre and I am so sorry to hear that you received news of a congenital heart defect for your baby.

That must have been a shock for you at this time.

Despite the news, it's reassuring to hear that you were given good information about the condition and options going forward and I know that you will receive the best possible care through King's.

I am sorry to hear about the experience you had with one of the Centre's reception staff. We have had issues raised before and I will again pass your comments onto the manager.
