Hi, I just wanted to send through a huge thank you to everyone at the Royal London who helped me when I came to get my varicose veins removed. I'm short on names but send my thanks to everyone who helped me. The surgeon Martin was patient, and answered as many of my long list of questions as was possible. The Anaesthetist assistant (or OPR/OPD/I forget the acronym) was so kind and understanding which helped me feel as at ease as possible. The HCA was great at her job and I appreciated that we were able to have a laugh in what would be an otherwise stressful time for me. The recovery room nurse Lina was professional and made sure I had everything I needed before leaving (personal belongings, discharge advice, called my friend to collect me etc). The nurse who took me to the holding bay was reassuring. Even the sister who took my pre-surgery swabs was amazing to deal with. I live in this country by myself, far away from my family and I'm really so thankful for what everyone did. I think this is a prime example of how when the NHS works well, it works WELL. Thank you so, so much. Words cannot express how thankful and appreciative I am of everything you did for me.
