"Superb Care and Attention"

I just wanted to share my experience of The Christie Hospital. I recently got referred to have 5 fractions of Radiotherapy on my lower back. I was seen extremely quickly (within approx 7 days of referral) for my first consultation and my 5 consecutive sessions of Radiotherapy (1 per day) followed on soon after.

I was seen by one of the Professor’s who is excellent and really took the time to go through everything thoroughly with me. I saw him 3 times over approx 7 visits. I was treated by the Radiographers in Department 39 and had 4 sessions in Suite 11 and 1 session in Suite 6. The whole team were superb and their professionalism, warmth and geniune care for me was absolutely excellent.

I visit hospital regularly, mostly at Manchester Royal Infirmary and very occasionally at The Christie and the care I receive overall is second to none.

I’m a big advocate of the NHS and feel proud that we are lucky enough to have such a fantastic organisation who offer free care at the point of use whenever we need it and I certainly wouldn’t be as well as I am if it wasn’t for the great care I receive.
