"My mother following her diagnosis of bowel cancer"

About: Roxburghe House / Medical Oncology

(as a relative),

I feel the treatment that she receives at Roxburghe house Aberdeen is excellent. For a short while whilst she is there she forgets about her cancer. She loves the exercise classes, relaxation and craft group activities. Glad to see her coming home to tell me what a great day she has had, following all the sadness of her diagnosis. Voluntary services drivers are also invaluable taking her back and forth for treatment.

Dear Relative 52

I am so please to read that your Mum receives excellent care whilst at Roxburghe House and that she participates in the classes and group facilities and enjoys sharing her experiences with you.

I appreciate that this must be such a difficult time for you and your Mum but glad that she is able to enjoy the activities and the distraction that they bring.

I will share your thanks with the team at Roxburghe House including the Voluntary drivers.

With best wishes to you and your Mum

Fiona Robertson

Chief Nurse

I would just like to add that her current therapy she receives appears to have had a positive effect on her sleep pattern and pain levels .Many thanks again.
