About: Bridgegate Medical Centre Furness General Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as a parent/guardian),

Hi my 1 year old daughter is waiting for an ENT appt at Furness General hospital barrow.. She was only referred 6 weeks ago but she is really suffering.. I went to my gp again today and her tonsils are extremely large and scarred this is causing her to constantly cough all night she doesn't really sleep or eat she's been on children's ward twice in 2 months.. My gp advised nothing they can do she will need her tonsils out.. But there is a long wait is there any way I could pay for a consultation so to get her seen quicker thanks

Hi there, sorry for the delay in our reply. If you need to see a specialist and you want to pay for it privately, you an speak to your GP who can write a letter of referral to a private consultant or specialist explaining your condition and your medical history.
