I had to have precancerous cells removed by cutting out skin. I was so frightened. They were all wonderful. I was in and out same day. I did get an infection because there was a heatwave lol but when it somewhere you wee over what can you do. The scar is still so tidy even after infection. I think I would have no bump if it had been cooler time of year. I really appreciate the teams efforts with me and follow up checks. I guess not many people want to review these things but I'm happy with the dignity I'm shown and skills used. Many thanks to the department.

First and foremost, we very much hope that you are in good health, and have recovered well from the removal of precancerous cells, with no further causes for concern. It is completely understandable that you were frightened prior to the procedure taking place, so we are delighted to read you found staff to be so kind to you as this fits with the Trust’s aim to provide a high quality and responsive standard of care to all patients; it must have also been a great source of comfort and reassurance for you. Those same standards should be underpinned by the values of kindness, compassion, dignity and respect, and so it was very reassuring to read you felt you were shown dignity as part of your care.

We will ensure your comments are shared with key staff responsible for the delivery of our Community Services, as they will be pleased to read your feedback. We wish you all the very best for good health and well-being now and in the future.
