"Potentially Missed Appointment"

About: Lauriston Building

(as a service user),

Got a letter from NHS Lothian asking me to make an appointment that I've been on the waitlist for Orthopaedics Outpatient Appointment many months. I didn't contact them over the holiday period because I assumed they would be closed. The letter I have says is if I don't make the appointment within 7 days of the letter (dated 31/12/2018) then I'll be removed from the waiting list. I called today but the line was engaged and couldn't get through. Am worried I will now lose my spot.

Dear oak

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and l was sorry to read that you have been unable to get through to the Orthopaedic appointments office to confirm your out-patient appointment. The office would have been closed on the public holidays.

I would be grateful if you can please contact the Patient Experience who will try and help you and the telephone number is 0131 536 3370. Alternatively, I would encourage you to try again to contact the Orthopaedic appointment team.

Kind regards

Jeannette
