"Excellent care from GP to ward"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Acute Medical Initial Assessment Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Acute Short Stay Medicine General Practices in Grampian

(as a service user),

I became unwell with flu like symptoms on Christmas Eve, this then worsened and I attended g-med on Boxing Day. I was then treated for a chest infection with oral antibiotics. My general condition continued to worsen which led to attending my GP at Inverurie Medical Practice two days later.

From there I was really impressed at the speedy care I received. I was referred to AMIA clinic straightaway and found to have bilateral pneumonia. I was then transferred to ward 103 overnight for iv antibiotics and tests to find the cause. I can not fault my care in the slightest.

Dear K,

Many thanks for taking the time to tell us about your experience in AMIA clinic and Ward 103. Your feedback will mean a lot to the staff that cared for you and I have shared this with them.

I hope that you are recovering well and managed to have a good Christmas and New Year.

Thank you

Julie
