"Never once saw person in charge of ward"

About: Pilgrim Hospital

(as a service user),

Whilst in hospital I felt that the Nurses were overworked having no time to spend with patients. The doctor I saw had no bedside manner what so ever.

The ward cleaners seemed terrible I never saw them once wipe a top down move things out of the way to clean behind. The floor was mopped once in the 4 days I was there.

No one came and checked their work and never once saw person in charge of ward.

I was told I needed a blood check at 9am waited till after 5 pm for someone to take my blood then discharged at 9 pm at night.

The whole thing was a disgrace.

Dear Riversidemale - I was so sorry to read about your experience and from your description I can appreciate how you feel. Would you be able to email pals@ULH.nhs.uk with a little more detail so we can look into which ward and feedback to them how you felt and put right the things you have highlighted?

Again I am really sorry.

Jennie
