"Not happy at all"

About: Yew Tree Centre

I have a fungal infection affecting 4 parts of my body.

Was prescribed ointment by the Dr who said to ask if I needed more.

I asked and received 4 more tubes on 28th Nov.

As the affected areas are quite large, a 30mg tube only lasts 4 days, so I asked for more on 7th Dec.

I paid several visits to the chemist to see if prescription had been received.

Finally 'phoned surgery last Monday to be told I would not get the items requested as I had already had them on 28th Nov.

I explained this was on ongoing infection, and this was a request for more ointment which I needed.

I was told that she would see what she could do, and would mark it as "urgent".

Today I went again to the chemist, but no prescription, so called in to the surgery.

I was told the pharmacist had declined my request as my review was overdue - it is not due until Oct 2019.

I explained I had not had any ointment at all for a week and the infection had flared up again without the treatment.

I have now had to make another appointment tomorrow to try to get what I need.

As far as I am concerned, this is really bad service.

Hi there,

I apologise that you feel the service you have received was really bad. Our communication could have been better in this case, for that we also apologise. I have been made aware of this case, and we can provide a full explanation as to why you require an early medication review during your appointment tomorrow.

Kindest regards

Practice Manager
