Today my son had an accident which required attention from the emergency department. As soon as we walked in a nurse saw me and took me straight thro to the children ward and immediately the Dr and nurses attended my son. He had a deep cut to his forehead and was sleepy at first. They were absolutely amazing put me at ease allowed my partner my sons farther to come straight to us after he gave them our details. The nurses where lovely and gave us some wet wipes to clean ourselfs and helped my son choose stickers for his bravery. The dr came and discussed what they wanted to do treatment and what could happen if they couldn’t glue the wound. The professionalism the kindness the compassion they showed us was outstanding. It took 11 minutes from entering the hospital to receive treatment. I cannot thank your children emergency department enough. I’m one very grateful mother.
