"Terrible from the beginning"

About: Kettering General Hospital

Appointment only clinic, However I was directed there with no appointment. I was in terrible pain and unable to see through one eye I’m 31 years of age. I was told to come back another day because they was far to busy. Naturally I cried because it had taken me some time getting there desperately needing help.

I was seen and then sent away with eye drops. Three days later my condition had gotten worse and I was left with no help and was told to come back Monday (4 days worth of waiting). My appointment was booked for 3:15 on the Monday. I arrived promptly and was not seen for three hours, I was in a considerable pain close to vomiting with zero help. I could see from one eye people come and go and I was still there waiting patiently to be seen to. I ended up approaching a member of staff alerting them of the time spent waiting and I had missed picking my 2 year old son up from nursery. Only to see staff members walking around chatting with cups of coffee. Whilst I was in a considerable amount of pain wishing child birth over this.I was finally seen to with what felt like a massive burden to them and was given antibiotics I would explain what for but I could not understand a word of what the lady was saying. I asked questions though the tears that I cried and seemingly was left in silence with zero response. Naturally I left feeling very frustrated and upset knot knowing what the actual problem was nore how it was going to be addressed. Since then I have had zero contact with follow up appointments with the requests that they would contact me. As I’m writing this I’ve currently been on hold for 20 minutes trying to figure out when I’m ment to be in today!! My confidence in this department runs extremely low. I’m so disappointed I did expect more.
