"This hospital is proof of the NHS going down."

About: Charing Cross Hospital

I was sent to the hospital by doctor as I had a very painful, aggressive abcess. I could not walk or sit. On my 1st visit I was sent home with painkillers. I returned the next day as I could not take the pain anymore.Thurs 11am they admitted It needed to be removed under General anesthetic. I was kept in a waiting area on the drip until 7pm as that is when a bed became available. Another patient was taken into surgery before me with a abscess that had already popped therefore he was no where near the pain I was in. On the ward the nurses were lacked experience and empathy. I was promised promised surgery would happen that evening, then found out at 11pm I was not in the list.at this point I had not eaten for 30 hrs and was given a cardboard plain cheese sandwich. I cried in pain all night and yet the nurses would not give me any strong painkillers, paracetamol was a waste of time. All night the nurses were talking loud echoing into the ward. They did their handover in the ward where every patient could hear every word. I finally got taken down to surgery at 9am the following day. I was back in the ward by 11am. The painful night could have been avoided. The aftercare was terrible. My wound was 3cm wide and they were giving me bandages the size of my head. I question where they completed their education?! There was no common sense. The only professionals I found were the surgeons and doctors. I will never go back to Charing cross again. It's infuriates me knowing this is where my tax money goes! This is only a brief description of my experience.
