"Friarsgate Practice Winchester patient review..."

I am writing to record the excellent care and support which I receive from my GP, other doctors, nurses, reception and administrative staff at the Friarsgate Practice 4b Stockbridge Road, Winchester, SO229EL as well as their other practice at Badger Farm Road, Winchester, SO224QB.

I have been using the above surgery's predominantly Friarsgate for over 50 years ( was at previous address), and the last twenty on a regular basis due to a range of illness namely cancer, diabetes, kidney stone, heart, back/neurological as well as other health issues etc.

I just needed to put on record the excellent service provided by my GP, as well as the other doctors I may need to see on ad hoc occasions.

I find my GP to be extremely professional, she is always kind caring and compassionate, she always considers the reason for my attendance, never makes a knee jerk decision regarding symptoms or my concerns regarding my health both physical and mental, she is extremely professional .

She never issues medication for the sake of doing so, she carefully considers all options , and on occasions may refer me for further examination to the local hospital / consultants etc, where I have on occasions required further hospital treatment.

I feel that the service and treatment provided by my GP, other GPs as well as both the surgery's nurses, reception staff etc has been truly outstanding.

The practice is innovative, creating a patients participation group /forum whereby patients can provide feedback to the doctors / management team as well as sharing with patients any feedback/outcomes on the practice website.

Recently they have launched two new services , one being for back /neurological problems and the other for hearing, whereby you can fast track to obtain professional advice from experts in their field relieving pressure on the GPs, only if necessary will you be referred to your GP.

I feel extremely fortunate to have such an outstanding team looking after my health issues, nothing is too much trouble, everyone is kind, caring, compassionate ,efficient and go beyond to provide a service which is second to none.

During Cancer diagnosis and treatment as well as other medical issues, I always feel confident and assured that I am receiving the very best care that one could wish for from a GPs practice.
