I arrived by ambulance at A&E after an accident in the garden, having clearly broken my leg. I thought I would be plastered up and sent home, but things were more complicated and I wound up in hospital for 4 days, for the first time in my 70 odd years. From start to finish both the care which I received, and the consideration for my family, were excellent.
I was reassured by the professionalism of everybody who had a hand in my treatment and it was impossible not to like them all. It came home to me after a couple of days that a fair amount of surgery was involved with my leg and I'm full of admiration for everybody concerned for getting me on the mend so quickly.
The room was comfortable and my medical and domestic care during the remainder of my stay both cheerful and of a high standard.
I returned for a follow up at the Fracture Clinic recently. This was reassuring, and the care and attention just the same.
Whilst I tried I'm only sorry that I probably did not adequately thank all of the many wonderful people who played a part in mending me and looking after me. Thank you very much.
