My wife had an infected arm but we could not get through to make an appointment. We went to the surgery and were told to try again the next day. The next day we still could not get through on the phone so we did what we should not have, went to A&E at Hull instead.
My wifes arm was poisoned by some insect and the poison was tracking up the arm. The arm was swollen and black in places. The A & E doctor put her on a weeks course of strong anti biotics. This should all have been treated at the Driffield surgery but seeing a doctor nowadays is almost impossible. What is the point of having a local surgery when you cannot see a doctor? We do not even have a sit and wait anymore.
No wonder the NHS is going downhill fast, no easy way to get a doctors appointment. What will happen when the 1,000 plus new homes around Driffield are completed?
