Pregnant with my fist pregnancy in my late 40s I needed more help, monitoring and involvement in decision making. I had no major problems during pregnancy, I was a fit 48yo with no health problems. The monitoring scan schedule was appropriate and I was satisfied with the sonographers; midwifes were good and personable. I made my voice heard and obstetrician registrar discussed with the consultant my concerns and desires, listened and implemented what was best for us. Delivery -planned CS was a real success and I want to thank the surgeon (very pragmatic approach, very experienced surgeon) and the anesthetists were incredible (consultant and registrar who proceeded with the epidural) (professional, good communication skills, excellent feedback during procedure). Aftercare was also good.No complications! I can only thank everybody from the bottom of my heart. My daughter was delivered on a sunny day on 21.9.17.
