I was admitted to the Plastics department on the 8th November 2018. This was after 3 pointless visits to my local hospital at Tameside, who referred me to your hospital.
From the first minute I was treated with respect and urgency. The first person I met immediately found me a bed and arranged for a doctor to examine me.
I had the operation the day after and everything went well. I am 63 and this was my first time in hospital.
I was on Ward F1. Every nurse I met was brilliant, they made me feel welcome and were friendly and efficient. Two in particular never stopped working and nothing was too much trouble. The three people I shared with had major injuries, a lot worse than mine, but we all supported each other and have fo7nd friends for life.
I have been back to thank the staff and am undergoing Physio. The staff there have been great.
What could have been a stressful time for me turned into a really nice experience and that is all down to the staff you employ.
Thanks again,
Tony Collins.
"A great experience."
