"Excellent care"

My elderly relative received excellent care from the point of admission following a fall, through the 6 weeks following the operation. The staff have looked after her really well, and have shown enormous patience during periods when her behaviour has been difficult, due to her dementia. When she wouldn’t eat, the catering staff talked to her about what food she liked, and ensured that she received meals that she liked. The ward is clean, staff are friendly and keep us informed, and they have treated my relative with respect.

Thank you for your very kind comments about the are that your mother received at the Princess Royal.

As someone, like you, with a mother with dementia, I know how important it is to take time and be patient, particularly with food.

So, it's really good to hear about how your mother was cared for. I do hope that she is on the mend. Give her our best.
