"Simply the Best"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

In mid October I attended for my cataract operation, and I was bricking it!

All of my concerns were groundless. From the moment I arrived I was treated with respect and understanding, everything was explained to me and any queries I had were answered. Waiting areas can be very busy and it is unreasonable to expect that staff are there to meet your every whim, they are there to ensure you are safe and arrive at the operating theatre as soon as possible with all of the information to make the visit a success, this they did in spades. The theatre staff maintained the high standards and proceeded in a pleasant but highly professional manner.

Today I had my follow up visit and was told the operation was completely successful, again conducted in the same manner as my initial visit. I'm not worried any more and I am actually looking forward to returning to have my other eye attended to.

Thank you QMC, we are lucky to have you, more power to your elbow.

What great feedback Brian – thank you. I’m pleased that we took good care of you and that our communication was clear and reassuring throughout. I’ve shared your kind and encouraging words with my colleagues in the Eye Day Case unit, who send their appreciation and best wishes.

Kind regards
