I would like to use this platform to thank Mr Alani for his exceptional care of my brother on whom he has performed two operations this year: a stoma, and a stoma reversal.
It was purely down to Mr Alani's dedication and expertise that the first operation was carried out - saving my brother's life. Despite several apparently 'clear' exploratory procedures, he persisted in his opinion that there was 'something' that needed to be dealt with - and he was right. Not only that, but as soon as he had received confirmation that this 'something' had been successfully and completely removed, he phoned my brother personally to inform him: at after 9pm!
Throughout these long, challenging months, Mr Alani has been unfailingly supportive. Although possessing the highest level of clinical expertise, his manner is never 'clinical', but, rather, warm and reassuring, never patronising - and always with a personal, personable touch.
As a family we thank God for Mr Alani and the team who support him, and will be forever grateful to him for what he has done for us and for so many others. He has touched more lives than he can ever know and, since we can't ever thank him enough in person, want to pass our gratitude on here.
"stoma reversal - unfailingly supportive surgeon"
