(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

There is a lack of consistency between shifts.

People that are on observations get more than we do. I have to wait for things even though I am on level 5 - and because they are on observations they can do it straight away.

Staff are doing really well even though it can be difficult on here. There is a lack of staff too. When there is not enough staff I can't go into the craft room to make my cards.

I am sorry you hear there is a lack of consistency between shifts, but it would be good to know what you feel is not clear. We do now have a number of staff who are working cross shifts which should hopefully alleviate any inconsistencies.

With regards to patients on obs, unfortunately there are times where they require a higher level of input, therefore it can be seen that they are ‘getting what they want’ but it would be good to hear how this is having an impact on you.

Regards to crafts, there has been a plan discussed regarding what can be put in place

Lack of staff – Stowe has been well staffed for a while now and have 4 new Q's started as 1 HCA, one just completed their induction and a further one joining us in December.
