"Surprising Parking ticket"

About: Barnet Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

In late October I brought my disabled wife to Barnet Hospital and I parked my car in the allocated disabled parking spaces.

This is not the first time we have attended the hospital and therefore we are aware of the parking regulation. However as we have changed our vehicle, we knew that we have to register our car so that we do not get a parking ticket.

My wife and I then went to the reception with her disabled badge to register our vehicle. The receptionist took my vehicle registration and looked at the badge. The receptionist then told me that everything was ok and that I was not needed to display my badge.

I was very surprised to receive the penalty charge through the post. I always abide by the parking rules & regulations. I am very certain that I did not contravene any parking regulations as I made sure that the vehicle was registered through the receptionist.

My wife suffers from several medical conditions and we are really disappointed to receive this ticket as it has caused us so much stress and anxiety.
