I would like to thank every single member of the NHS in Doncaster.
I had been on Holiday to Greece and returned feeling unwell.
Went to see my GP at Carcroft Health Centre who did an excellent thorough Assessment and decided I required Hospital.
The
Receptionist at Carcroft Health Centre waited with me for the Ambulance, she was very warm and caring and supported me throughout. Paramedics are second to none.
On arrival at A & E everything went very smoothly with all the excellent staff involved.
I was admitted to the Assessment Ward, given appropriate and supportive attention. Then transferred to Ward 26 for a few days - I had Pneumonia.
Doctors were very good throughout explaining what was happening and the treatment I would receive.
The Wards are well run considering how very busy they are. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Food was good, well presented and there was good choice.
Felt a bit like I was in a Hotel with all the attention.
Whilst in Ward 26 the Staff Nurse had a massive round of medication to give out.
Despite various demanding patients she just kept a smile on her face and was very patient with everyone.
I really think people need to realise what a fantastic job our NHS staff do and appreciate how lucky we are that we have it.
It can't always be perfect and can't always run smooth due to many varied reasons but I think we need to try and be more understanding to all the excellent Hard work every member of staff carry out every day 24/7.
"Thank you to the NHS"
