"Positive experience in A & E"

About: West Cumberland Hospital / Accident and emergency

Had to attend a & e with my 92 yr old mother who had unfortunately fallen at home. She was taken by ambulance and by the time I arrived she had been settled into a bed and was being tended to by the most attentive staff. Every aspect of her care was considered and carried out with the utmost respect for her and her dignity. . Communication with myself was excellent and whilst you don’t want to have to use a & e it is good to know that the service is operated in such a professional and caring manner.

Firstly please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to your feedback. I am not sure what has happened as I have only just been able to see this comment today.

I am very sorry that your mother suffered a fall at home; it must have been very distressing for her, but thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about her experience in A&E.

It really does man a great deal to us to hear that your mothers care and your communication with the staff were both positive and professional.

All of our staff work really hard to provide this level of care and they will be delighted with your comments
