"Failure to call for flu jab"

About: The Moir Medical Centre

On enquiring why my elderly husband is never called for a flu jab I was told that he had not given the Moir Medical Centre his mobile phone number and had not given permission for texts. What if he doesn't have or use a mobile phone? Surely as the Practice has his address and landline there should have been a letter sent or call made. In fact is this not a requirement under the Enhanced Service? Failure to make contact is unacceptable.

Thank you for your feedback. We stopped sending reminder letters for the flu jab a number of years ago, we do try to chase patients that have not attended later in the campaign.

If patients do have a mobile telephone and are happy to receive text regarding their care we are happy to set this up.

Flu clinics are currently running please contact the surgery to make an appointment.
