Considering pretty much all surgeries/doctors are struggling with very high demand, it’s an unforgivable position for all of us to be in (especially those with serious problems (s)he may or may not be aware of, and unfortunately leading preventable death). It really is down to the government to make better investments, and more patients to look after themselves better.
I moved in the area at the beginning of the this year, Pond Row Surgery was just around the corner so it made sense to register with this one. Since then, mostly very good service. Had a rash treated successfully, had a cyst removed successfully and had a couple blood tests done, the doctors and nurses were always very good with me.
However I did feel rushed at times, and recently I was unable to book an appointment on two occasions to see the GP.
Overall I am pretty satisfied with the surgery, so I see no reason to change. If others are struggling to get appointments, this is unacceptable. The fault lies with the government, not forgetting the demand is growing as well!
