"Very disappointed with my experience"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I am very disappointed with my experience.

Going to hospital is hard enough without getting more problems. Was told to be in hospital for 8am. Having had paperwork done and changed for surgery by around 8. 15, I had to wait 6 hours to be taken for surgery.

It got so boring. There's only so much you can do on your phone and there was no communication to let me know what was happening. I just wanted to go home. Even the anethatis who set up pre meds said in my position it was unfair. I also watched nurses raiding beds for precious pillows - their words -  just so they could take patients down to theatre.

When I came out of theatre I was put down bottom of ward as I took ages to come round from anesthetic a nurse came and said I might get kept in then left phone my wife to come over with some stuff I needed and we sat a while a nurses came in to put something away and looked at us like o forgot you were here after that we eventually got home after 13 hours in day surgery unit absolutely terrible experienced.
