"Foot procedure - joint fusion"

About: Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre

In February 2018 I was admitted to Barlborough NHS Trust hospital for a joint fusion in my foot as a result of osteoarthritis.

I had the op - stayed overnight and then came home with relevant tablets and injections.

All at the hospital - consultant, theatre staff, nurses, co workers , physio staff and even down to the staff who brought food and tea, were excellent.

I have nothing but praise especially for the Consultant as 7 months down the line

I am free of pain, can walk pain free now and would say he has given me my life back.

I would not hesitate to recommend Barlborough to anyone. Thank you all

Dear Carol,

Thank you for leaving your lovely feedback on the Barlborough NHS Choices website.

We really like to hear it when a patient says they have their life back following surgery.

Quite often people put it off because they are anxious and we hear so many times from patients that they wish they had done it sooner.

Thank you for spreading the word about the excellent work we do here at Barlborough and you know where we are if you need us again.

Take care and best wishes,

Mandy J Miller - PA to Steve Booker, Hospital Director and Marco La Malfa, Medical Director.
