"First Class Service"

About: Whitworth Hospital

I arrived at the hospital having head butted a radiator in our lounge! I have MS so mobility and balance issues. My daughter mopped up the blood but declared it needed “looking at” We called 111 who suggested we went to Calow. My husband and I decided to try Whitworth first - so glad we did. We were seen promptly where the paramedic (sorry can’t recall his name) and assisting nurse cleaned me up and even cleaned some radiator paint out of the gash. It was decided to glue the wound rather than send me to Calow for stitching. Think we were home in little more than an hour. Two weeks on the bruising has gone and most of the glue washed out leaving me with an additional laughter / frown line!

A brilliant outcome for us, ultra relieved not to have to travel to Chesterfield. So thank you all very much
