"Hometalk"

About: Gedling Children's Centre

(as a parent/guardian),

My son's development is delayed due to some complications at birth so up to now his language is very limited. His health visitor referred him to hometalk and was allocated a very lovely lady by the name of Charlotte.

The last 6weeks we have seen more improvement in my son and not only that Charlotte has taught me different ways of talking to my son which although quite simple were very effective and cannot thank enough such wonderful service.

It's a shame that it's only for 6weeks but very very useful. Thank you very much Gedling Hometalk and specially to Charlotte

Dear QueenFi

Thank you for sharing your story. I am so glad you and your son have benefitted from Hometalk. This is an innovative programme that was created by our staff a number of years ago and recognised nationally as best practice.

The Children's Centre practitioners who deliver the programme are highly skilled. They are trained and supervised by the Children's Centre's Speech and Language Therapists to ensure the programme is tailored to your family needs. I will ensure Charlotte gets to know about your comments as well - I know she will be pleased.

If you require any further support please contact your local Children's Centre to find out how they can help

kind regards

Karon Foulkes
