About: Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust

The blood testing line is a great example of how something so amazing can be converted to dreadful within a few months. I am a human being and it isn’t fair being on hold for 26 minutes of some recorded message saying it’s a busy line and the 27th minute on hold then takes you to a ringing tone only for it to be disconnected and the call drops.

This happenes every single day, so having a message saying it’s a busy line for months is the managers thought for not putting steps in place to resolve the problem.

I am so fed up with our country.

Dear Andrew

We were very surprised and concerned to read your feedback. The telephones have been set up in the Phlebotomy department to auto-forward onto other lines should one be engaged, so there are actually 5 telephones that will answer the one number.

We are unsure why you were on hold for 26 minutes because usually even at our busiest times we have not heard of anyone waiting this long.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we will investigate.
