About: Six Degrees IAPT

(as a service user),

I was referred for counselling at my local surgery. My counsellor is kind and listens to me in order to address issues that are troubling me. I have suffered with anxiety and depression since adolescence and it has got gradually worse into adulthood. I am currently on a course of LIT (Low Intensity Therapy) and I have looked at how my mood deteriorates with alcohol so I have given it up altogether. I would recommend counselling to anyone else who is experiencing similar symptoms. The very quick appointment helped me so much. Usually you have to wait ages to get psychological therapy on the NHS. Really good care from this surgery.
